Garden Sculptures:
Cob Basics Crash-Course
1-Day Workshop!

August 21, 2022  8am - 2pm

Multi-generational Group Cob Stomp!!.jpg

In this super fun, family-friendly 1-day event we will be learning all of the basic concepts for creating a medium called COB ~ a mix of clay, sand and straw, to sculpt small structures with!

Together we will harvest materials right here on property and learn the COB recipe for sculpting. We will be going over everything from foundation to decoration, and all phases in between! We'll be mixing cob (clay, sand and straw) in a variety of styles using natural harvested and recycled materials 100%.

THE PROJECT:  We will be sculpting a bird bath using our hands.

You will gain all the knowledge and confidence to go home and make a garden sculpture of your own!

This one-day workshop is a day trip for many, although people coming from out of town are very welcome to add on a night or two of camping under the gorgeous skies here at Golden Rocks Permaculture Farm. Our sweet little camping area has spectacular views of sunrises and moonrises, and some of the darkest skies to be found for great star gazing and YES! We see shooting stars ALL THE TIME!

Lunch and snacks will be included.

Cost for the one-day workshop is $95 and includes organic lunch from our gardens. Camping can be added before or after workshop, as well as "Glamping" sites and farmhouse rooms.  OUR WORKSHOP PARTICIPANTS enjoy 50% off regular rates.  Golden Rocks Permaculture Farm is located in Middletown, Lake County, CA.  We are deliciously close to Harbin Hot Springs, and may book a group appointment, depending on interest.
