In this super fun, family-friendly 3-day event we will be building an Earthen Oven in the outdoor community kitchen space for visitors, travelers and workshoppers to use for decades to come!

We will learn from foundation to decoration, and all phases in between! We will learn how to mix cob (clay, sand and straw) for this specific application, how to add the needed insulation layer, all using naturally harvested and recycled materials 100%, including the exterior plaster, decorations and finishing touches,

You will gain all the knowledge and confidence to go home and make a Fire-heated Pizza / bread oven of your own!

The workshop includes two nights of camping under the gorgeous skies here at Golden Rocks Permaculture Farm. Our sweet little camping area has spectacular views of sunrises and moonrises, and some of the darkest skies to be found for great star gazing and YES! We see shooting stars ALL THE TIME!

We will be serving up a delicious lunch from our gardens, organic, grown and made with love! There will be access to community kitchen facilities for breakfast & dinner, which includes use of a designated camp stove and refrigeration for student visitors.

There is a lovely fire ring adjacent to the community kitchen which we will certainly be having a nice campfire at night. Feel free to bring musical instruments and some sing-along tunes!
 

Cost for the full 3-day workshop starts at $225 and includes organic lunches daily from our gardens, and onsite camping at beautiful Golden Rocks Permaculture Farm located in Middletown, Lake County, CA.  Some "glamping" sites are available for an additional fee.  We are deliciously close to Harbin Hot Springs, and may book a group appointment, depending on interest.
