Golden Rocks Permaculture Farm presents ~

Food Forests & Forest Ecology
a Hands-on Workshop
February 14-15, 2026
At a time when food is expensive and food nutrient density is depleting from the market shelves, the time is RIPE for taking matters into our own hands, to feed our bodies, our families, and our communities the nutrient-dense foods that we can thrive on!

At Golden Rocks Permaculture Farm, we believe it is every human beings BIRTHRIGHT to enjoy wholesome food, to have opportunity to enjoy nature and all the blessings that the Mother Earth provides us, and to learn ways to transition to a lifestyle that is supportive of life itself!

In this 2-day intensive, we will be installing a Food Forest, and learning the basics of compatible plantings, using existing waterways, and learning about ways to mimic natural forest ecology to create sacred spaces that provide food and nurture the soul.
Support Women in Permaculture! Brenda Quintero will be leading this workshop in collaboration with Daniella WaterLove of LoveCycle, to bring an epic 2-day event that is sure to be the highlight of your Spring! Nurturing forest gardens on landscapes and in community spaces, and tending forests and trees for much longer, this dynamic duo will be guiding the installation and teaching along about plant medicine and healing the mind, body and soul in nature along the way.

ABOUT THE VENUE: Golden Rocks Permaculture Farm was founded in 2010 and specializes in teaching permaculture-related topics, natural building concepts, and producing fresh herbs, herbal tea blends and medicinal herbal tinctures, and providing my community with seasonal organic produce using poly-cropping, companion planting and bio-intensive farming practices. Through the permaculture lens, concepts of Earth Care; People Care; and Fair Share are played out in the gardens and in the communities that we serve.
As we have recently become a nonprofit, our fee schedule has shifted slightly to foster equity and inclusion. Sliding scale for the full 2-day workshop is $100 - $600. Our workshop includes organic lunches made lovingly from our gardens, as well as a Pizza Party on Saturday night! For guests staying over, your registration is also inclusive of onsite camping at beautiful Golden Rocks Permaculture Farm located in Middletown, Lake County, CA. Day-tripping guests check in at 8:30am each day. Breakfast is not included, but there is a shared outdoor kitchen space to prepare breakfast for yourself.
Bunk rooms and "glamping" sites are available for an additional fee. We are deliciously close to Harbin Hot Springs, and if you are coming from out of town, you may want to consider staying on an extra day or two in order to visit the springs!
