In this super fun 4-day workshop we will be learning about utilizing rocks, clay soil, sand, straw and reusable pallets to make very cool rock and Cob garden walls with a built-in bench!

Teachers Brenda Quintero and Frankie-the-Rocker will be instructing on all aspects from foundation and carpentry, to making and applying the perfect COB recipe for pallet wall applications. We will even learn out to independently roof our wall to keep moisture off!

THE PROJECT:  We will be creating a section of wall, independently roofed, and a large rock bench in the community camping kitchen and outdoor eating/picnic area.

You will gain all the knowledge and confidence that you will need to go home and make walls with harvestable materials.

This four-day workshop includes camping under the gorgeous skies here at Golden Rocks Permaculture Farm. Our sweet little camping area has spectacular views of sunrises and moonrises, and some of the darkest skies to be found for great star gazing and YES! We see shooting stars ALL THE TIME!
 

Workshop fee is set at a sliding scale, priced per person, and is inclusive of daily lunch and snacks.  Our outdoor community camping kitchen to is available for workshop attendees to store their food and prepare breakfasts and dinners.

Golden Rocks Permaculture Farm is located in Middletown, Lake County, CA.  Some "glamping" sites and farmhouse rooms are available for an additional fee.  We are deliciously close to Harbin Hot Springs, and may book a group appointment, depending on interest.
