Perma-Blitz with the FRoG's - FREE CAMPING EVENT

FREE Fun-filled camping weekend at a Permaculture Farm in Lake County!   Fabulous, knowlegeable folks from the Forest Reciprocity Group will be leading the activities.  

The PROJECTS:  We will be hopping about on a variety of projects, including converting a chicken coop and run area to a COMPOSTING TOILET and Screened-in GARDEN area!  Should be a lot of fun!  Our strategy on the composting toilet, we are aiming to make a high-end composter, complete with fan and turner (like the expensive indoor ones ~ DIY-style).  Our chicken coop will be converted to an outdoor bathroom in the community campfire area in 2 days!  We will also install a small sink and frame it in with scrap wood, maybe even cob it up!

Simultaneously, will be converting the chicken run area to a garden area for guests to enjoy pick herbs, chill under fruiting trees etc.  Depending on attendance and interest, we will also consider:

Natural paint mini-workshop, painting an earthen pizza oven

Mini-batch cob workshop, making a bird bath or cobbing in the bathroom sink

Mini-workshop on lime plasters, plastering the dog house

Mini-workshop & lecture on tending the forest (oak savannah)

In the evening hours we will present about Forest Reciprocity Group's activities and goals in our rural communities ~ Lake Mendocino and Humbolt Counties.  Story-telling and fireside chat!  Building and strengthening our communities through relations, working together, learning together and playing together!

Camping and Workshop is FREE (suggested donation of $25 to FRoG - The Forest Reciprocity Group).  Immenities include camping decks, meadow and pond, creek, equipped camping kitchen (stove, sink, cookware, dishes, fridge & pizza oven!).  Fire ring with firewood, nightly campfire - Bring instrument and a song to sing or a story to tell!

Roms available (rooms can be booked at 50% off air bnb prices, coupon code for weekend will be made available to interested parties).  Choices for upgraded accommodations:  Westfalia w/stove and cozy bed, Dorm room - sleeps up to 4, queen room, and art studio.  CAMPING AND ATTENDANCE IS FREE - Suggested Donation of $25 goes to the Forest Reciprocity Group to advance our mission and keep us hopping along!  To learn more about FRoG, see website at forestreciprocity.org.
